The railway station is also nearby with trains to London Kings Cross taking just under an hour.

Historic Huntingdon

Huntingdon is a historic market town, Oliver Cromwell was born here in 1599 and became the town’s Member of Parliament (MP) in the 17th century.

Bloomfield park and some nearby local buildings have connections to Cromwell and close by, in his old school, is a museum dedicated to his life and times.

The town was given its town charter by King John in 1205.
